Subway Art
This project was using an Adobe program called InDesign. The project was made to make he class more comfortable with different fonts and sizes. With the topic of success, this layout was made to include all the qualities it takes to be successful.
Relief
In this project, the class learned about the ancient form of printing called relief. We had to choose and design, trace the image using carbon paper, and carve it using linoleum. After the carving was done, the class rolled paint onto the linoleum and printed the images on paper using a printing press.
Intaglio
In this project, the class learned about the ancient form of printing called intaglio. This form of printing is when the ink is inside the grooves of the carving material and gets sucked out in the printing process by a medium like water. This is different from relief because the ink of the relief sits on the negative space in the image but is on the surface of the material.
T-Shirt Printing
In this project, the class learned how to using basic printing skills to make custom t-shirt designs. First, we picked our design. Then we made a negative and converted it to a positive in the dark room. Next we burned a screen and blew out the emulsion. Finally we pressed ink into the shirt to create the design.
