Projects

Pinhole

This project was using a homemade pinhole camera. The class learned how the basic components of a pinhole relate to the cameras we use today.  After taking the pictures and developing them in the dark room, we learned how to turn negatives into positives.

                     Photogram

This project incorporated the darkroom with light being timed to see how long or short the photo paper needed to be exposed to the light.  After the image was perfected, it was developed and converted into a positive image through Photoshop.

Elements of Art

This project taught me the different elements in art and how natural things i nature incorporate these elements. Using and learning the functions of the camera, the class was able to capture the elements of art.

Color One

This project took normal images taken by a camera and converted them into images that specifically looked at one color in the image.  Using Photoshop, the class was able to create this cool effect.

Color Two

This was the second color image created on Photoshop.

Illustration

This project was made by recreating an image using the Adobe Illustrator application.  I recreated an image of Will Smith.  We took reference photos and learned how to create a digital illustration of the original image.

Light-paintings

This project was made in the Dark room using a longer shutter speed to capture the light in the image.  Using a phone flashlight and glow sticks, the students were able to draw images and designs with the light.

Shutter Speed

This project was made to see the difference between a longer or shorter shutter speed.  This project allowed us to see that a quicker shutter (big number) allows for a clear image when an object is in motion.  This information learned can be used for shooting sports games or anything in motion for he future.

Aperture

This project was used to see the difference between a larger or smaller aperture.  After this project, it is clear that larger apertures make the image clear all around, but with a smaller one, the image can have a blurred background.
